We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic disability support adviser with experience in providing advice and guidance to prospective and current students with disabilities, long-term medical conditions or specific learning differences as well as staff.

**Part-time 0.5fte post (18.5 hours per week)**:
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic disability support adviser with experience in providing advice and guidance to prospective and current students with disabilities, long-term medical conditions or specific learning differences as well as staff. You will have knowledge and experience liaising with external agencies including funding bodies, local authorities and social services to ensure support is in place for student with support needs.

This role will take a lead on our Pre-Entry functions to ensure that we are able to support applicants who wish to join the University with a disability to ensure that we are proactive in meeting their support needs and providing an inclusive journey.

You will join our Disability and Inclusion Team which has a key role to play in supporting an inclusive, integrated institutional approach to the delivery of outstanding student support across the University. The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to raising awareness and confidence in supporting inclusive practice to meet the needs of disabled students.

If you are an experienced, creative and passionate disability practitioner with a sound understanding of the needs of disabled students in HE; have good knowledge and experience in providing high quality student-centred disability related advice, guidance and support to prospective and current students to ensure access to appropriate and integrated support this role is for you.

**Our mission is to support students**: enhancing student satisfaction; improving student progression, retention, achievement and employability.

**The Disability and Inclusion Team** also works closely with the Mental Health and Wellbeing team to ensure that students are provided with reasonable adjustments during their studies.
