**What you’ll do: **

We’re looking for a Strategic Change Lead to play a key role in delivering and embedding ACT’s Strategic Plan. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced change professional to drive organisation-wide transformation and ensure projects are successfully delivered, adopted, and sustained.

You’ll lead major strategic initiatives — from planning through to delivery — ensuring they achieve measurable impact. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and colleagues across the business, you’ll help shape how ACT evolves to meet its strategic goals, enhance performance, and improve the learner and employee experience.

ACT is committed to promoting the Welsh language for both staff and learners, and whilst it is not considered essential criteria, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role.

**About You**

We’re looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, be confident engaging at all levels, and have the credibility to influence and lead through change.

**Essential Skills & Experience**:

- Proven experience leading projects and/or business change initiatives in a complex organisation.
- Recognised qualification in project or change management (e.g. PRINCE2, APM, Agile, Prosci, Change Management Institute).
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under pressure.

**Desirable**:

- Experience within the education, training, or skills sector.
- Familiarity with both waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Experience in benefits realisation and performance reporting.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Change Leadership**: Act as the lead for business change activities, ensuring strategic initiatives are embedded effectively into everyday practice.
- **Project Delivery**: Manage the delivery of defined strategic projects from scoping through to completion, ensuring milestones, outputs, and outcomes are achieved.
- **Benefits Realisation**: Work with sponsors and stakeholders to define, track, and evidence the benefits of change initiatives.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable successful delivery and adoption.
- **Change Readiness & Support**: Assess organisational impacts of change, plan mitigation, and support staff to adopt new processes, systems, or ways of working.
- **Monitoring & Reporting**: Provide accurate, concise updates on project and change progress, risks, and issues to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
- **Problem-Solving**: Identify barriers to delivery or adoption and work collaboratively to resolve them.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Capture lessons learned to strengthen ACT’s project and change management capability.
