**About The Role**:
We’re looking for a Content Strategist to deliver content strategy for our clients across mostly digital but also non-digital products and services. This role reports into the Head of Strategy and Consulting Studio. As we are building out our content team, there is a large potential for growth.
This a hybrid working role, where you will have the choice to work from home or attend hubs around the country. Some travel to clients or to attend regular team days is expected.
Role overview
One week you will be developing a strategy for a university on how to attract and inform potential students, the other week you advise a large cultural institution on changes to content processes, teams, tools and training. Another week you will be asked how a charity can best include SEO and social media in its approach to content.
At TPXimpact Digital Experience, you will work sometimes within an overall digital strategy project in a multidisciplinary team with strategists, researchers and content designers,, sometimes more independently on separate projects, on how (online) content can speak to strategic objectives and user needs.
You’ll be part of a growing content design and strategy Community of Practice at TPXimpact, and will help define how we deliver great content strategy work at TPXimpact.
This role probably isn’t for you if you’re an all round digital strategist or a copywriter. We’re happy to consider people with transferable skills, but it’s important you have a strong understanding of content strategy and UCD principles.
**What you’ll be doing**
**No two projects are exactly the same at TPXimpact, but you’ll spend most of your time**:
- Working with digital strategists, UX designers and user researchers to develop content strategy for our clients.
- Define principles and guidelines for how content can work best for user needs and client objectives.
- Advise what platforms and formats will best reach target audiences.
- Create taxonomies and Information Architecture to provide structure.
- Use interviews, workshops and knowledge about organisational design to consult on content governance, content teams and processes.
- Working with analytics, data and research insights to support content strategy decisions
- Working with client teams to help them understand and implement content strategy
- Upskill client teams, your colleagues in the studio and the wider TPXimpact design community through training, and workshops
- Help build and contribute to a content design and strategy team at TPXimpact Digital Experience, and make sure good content strategy principles are embedded throughout all the work we do
**About You**:
**Essential skills and experience**
**To succeed in this role, you will need**:
- Experience of delivering high-quality content strategy work for online and offline audiences
- Understanding of how content can work across platforms and power user user journeys
- Experience with content modelling, Object Oriented UX, and structured content approaches.
- Experience with creating taxonomies and Information Architecture.
- Experience with developing content strategy and/or advising on content governance and teams
- Ability to present and explain ways of working to take clients on the journey (potentially running workshops)
- Experience of producing content strategy as part of a wider strategic or design and development project
- The ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, balancing internal business priorities with external delivery and work on client projects
**Desirable skills and experience**
- Experience working in complex systems, such as Government departments or the NHS
- Working to NHS or GDS service standards and design systems
- Experience of working in an agency or consultancy
- Experience of defining and working with metrics/KPIs to measure success
- Experience with SEO and digital marketing An understanding of digital strategy, UX design and design research principles, so that you can assist with these elements of a project if needed
