**Policy Monitoring Officer - Manchester**

Working within a client organisation, based in the Policy business unit, focused on monitoring and evaluating the current 10-year transportation plan and targets achieved or missed.

**Location**:Manchester

**Salary**:£36,000 - £42,000 basic + Package

**Role and responsibilities**:
The Resolute Group are working in partnership with a client organisation working in their Policy division, focused on delivering reports against the current strategic plan. Working closely with the strategic partners which include the Local Authorities,TOC's, Network Rail, TfN and the DfT as your policies may integrate with their own policies.

The team undertakes quantitative and qualitative data analysis, conducts evidence reviews against the current policies and assesses for milestones being achieved or missed. Collaborating with partners to ensure strategic policies reflect a robust evidencebase process and meet the needs of the stakeholders and communities involved.

Your role is to track and report on the performance of a set of targets and indicators to measure progress towards achieving the objectives of the Strategic Transport Plan. You will be expected to collaborate with colleagues across the Directorates to provideadvice, support and guidance around monitoring and evaluation of the milestones. Writing reports on the successes, missed milestones and future improvements to be made to ensure the Strategic Transport Plan is achieved.

You do not need transportation experience, but you do need to understand policies and how policies are implemented and managed. This would come from a client organisation such as Local Authorities, NHS or public bodies.

**Experience required**:

- A minimum of a HNC or HND or Degree with modules ideally linked to policies or research
- Supported by experience in a research position previously, ideally in the public sector be it Local Authorities, NHS, Network Rail or Government department
