**The Vacancy**
We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to join our Sales & Operational Planning team as a **Logistics Planner** based at our Support Centre in Worksop.
As our **Logistics Planner **you’ll be part of a fantastic team who deliver the day-to-day activities required to operate an effective planning approach. You’ll be a data expert, using your insight to manage and develop information and processes, supporting cost effectiveness and efficiency in our operation.
Taking huge pride in what you do, your role will involve working in collaboration with stores to plan and adjust delivery schedules, providing flexibility where necessary to allow stores to be more effective. You’ll demonstrate your understanding of the end-to-end planning and use this knowledge towards the continuous improvement of supply chain performance. Along with:
- Contributing to the development and optimisation of supply chain strategies to meet the agreed service levels, actively seeking ways to optimise performance within relevant work streams.
- Using analytical skills and the information systems available (MS Office, AS400, SAP, etc.) to deliver required work, through having an understanding how items, stores, service centres, etc. are linked.
- Using all levers at your disposal to balance cost, capacity, products, systems, business requirements and service centre needs when planning movement of stock in and out.
- Interpreting and managing complexity on a regular basis when analysing the planning requirements for promotions, range changes and seasonal changes to ensure availability, operational resource planning and forecasting are not adversely affected.
- Running reports on a daily and weekly basis to monitor goods coming in and goods coming out, stock levels, changes, and polling plan.
- Communicating plans to wider teams to optimise performance, reduce cost and improve net margin.
For this role we need someone who has relevant experience from a retail environment / supply chain industry. Good planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and problem solve under pressure and build great working relationships.
Please note, this role will require occasional weekend working which will be worked on a shift rota basis across the team.
