Bought In Finished Goods (BIFG) Planner

This is an exciting new opportunity within the Supply Chain team.
As a BIFG Planner, you will ensure the timely delivery of bought in finished goods into Premier Foods Warehousing. You will build relationships with suppliers, planners, and logistics operators to maintain optimum stock levels; with a view to satisfying customer demand at the lowest cost, and to ensure the smooth implementation of innovation changes whilst minimising redundant stock.

**What you will be doing - includes**:
Planning and forecasting Manage stockholding based on agreed customer service levels and supply chain costs. Monitor potential or actual out of stock situations and take appropriate actions. Work closely with Premier Foods Warehouse facilities to manage inbound, outbound supplies and maintain agreed stock levels. Managing the delivery of stocks to support demand driven production plan amendments. Plan agreed materials requirements supporting production working closely with key contacts in international locations. Manage the re-work process for international products at subcontracting locations.
Systems and data analysis Provide vendor performance data to support the Sales & Operating Process. Ensure integrity of system set-up for all brought in finished goods used in your area.
Customer service Maintain effective relationships with all supplier contacts and internal customers at site and centrally (Head Office). Address work-flow invoice queries in a timely manner and ensure a satisfactory resolution is reached. Support the process of supplier education. Support other BIFG Worksop planned accounts when required.
Stock Management Minimise redundant materials by monitoring and flagging obsoletes due to innovation changes, supplier changes and shelf-life issues. Manage short life and held materials and the return of rejected materials to suppliers. Support the development of stock management based on agreed customer service levels and supply chain costs.
Continuous Improvement Identify improvement opportunities in their area of the supply chain. Plan new brought in finished goods deliveries to meet agreed stock requirements for innovation projects. Support any Continuous improvement ideas for their area.
**What we need from you**:
Essential
Practical knowledge of MRP Principles.
Able to develop and build professional working relationships with key internal customers.
Educated to level 2 Mathematics.
SAP knowledge ECP & SCP.
Follows logical and disciplined thought processes.
Good communication skills - internal and external customers.
Good team player.
Ability to work under pressure, unsupervised.
Desirable
Experience of BIFG planning in a FMCG environment.
Hold a minimum of a level 2 IOSCM (Institute to Supply Chain Management) qualification
High level of IT literacy (fully conversant with MS Excel) with relevant experience of SAP or similar manufacturing software
Demonstrable experience of managing key relationships with external suppliers and vendors.
