The post holder will sit in the Quality Improvement Team and they will primarily support the Cancer Improvement Programme. They will assist the Programme Leads in the delivery of complex improvements across the organisation. They will build strong relationships with the Central Cancer Team and others across the local Cancer Alliance.

The postholder will support improvement work linked to Cancer Services and there will be a particular focus on cancer pathway re-design. These projects have a high level of complexity due to the range pathways in the Trust which interlink with neighboring Trusts across the Humber Coast and Vale footprint and with primary care.

The post holder will provide essential co-ordination support to the Cancer Improvement Programme and individual workstreams where the need is identified. They will provide administrative support to the programme and Quality Improvement Manager, resolving day to day problems independently as they arise.
1. Assist or co-ordinate the completion of other project and governance documentation including project plans, risk/issue registers, quality impact assessments and highlight reports.
2. Gathering, analysing and presentation of necessary data to meet programme/project governance and assurance requirements.
3. Support the development of communication and engagement plans for projects and where required, assist with the delivery of these plans. Work with the corporate communications team to ensure proactive communication of a constantly changing, complex message to the Trust through various medias.
4. Support delivery of projects within the Cancer Transformation Programme by undertaking activities such as research, conducting surveys, audit activity, etc.
5. To be a point of contact for the team and handling sometimes complex queries for multiple projects.

2. Organise and schedule a range of meetings to support the Cancer Improvement Programme. This includes booking suitable internal/external venues (with refreshments and/or equipment as required); checking attendee availability; draft preparation, collation and distribution of agenda and supporting papers; attending to take minutes/notes as required for internal and external meetings which include external stakeholders. This may require travel and maintaining master files for meetings managed by the Cancer Transformation Team.
3. Prompt and follow up work assigned to senior colleagues from within and outside of the Team to ensure that deadlines for meetings are met on a timely basis. This requirement extends to papers required for meeting from outside the organisation.
4. Assist or co-ordinate the completion of other project and governance documentation including project plans, risk/issue registers, quality impact assessments and highlight reports.
5. Gathering, analysing and presentation of necessary data to meet programme/project governance and assurance requirements.
6. Support the development of communication and engagement plans for projects and where required, assist with the delivery of these plans. Work with the corporate communications team to ensure proactive communication of a constantly changing, complex message to the Trust through various medias.
7. Support delivery of projects within the Cancer Transformation Programme by undertaking activities such as research, conducting surveys, audit activity, etc.

9. Assume responsibility for organising office machinery and equipment, including ordering of stationery and supplies and liaising with other department staff as appropriate.
