**Description**

The key responsibilities for the NHS Workforce Analyst Band 5 role are:
**PLEASE NOTE ROLE IS TEMPORARY FOR AN IMMEDIATE START.**

The post holder will act as a dedicated analyst within the Workforce Information Team, responsible for the provision of regular and ad hoc Workforce Information, derived from a variety of systems / sources, to stakeholders across the Trust. They will berequired to manipulate complex data sets in order to provide meaningful analysis and insight, in support of the delivery of the Trust People Strategy.

Under the direction of the Workforce Information Manager, the postholder will be responsible for the completion of national returns; such as the Provider Workforce Return, flu vaccination uptake reporting, and the workforce component of regular clinicalbench-marking exercises.

The postholder will also be responsible for compiling responses to Freedom of Information requests, providing accurate data in a timely manner in order that the Trust meet its statutory obligations under the FOI Act.
- Lead on the provision of both regular and ad hoc workforce information to stakeholders across the Trust.
- Support managers from across the HR Directorate with the provision of information and production of reports within their area.
- Support the Workforce Information Manager with the completion of the monthly Workforce KPI Report.
- Support the Workforce Information Manager and Assistant Director of HR Operations with the completion of national workforce returns, such as the Provider Workforce Return, Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES) and Workforce Disability Equality Standard(WDES).
- Support the Head of Occupational Health with the completion of weekly vaccination uptake reporting.
- Support the Workforce Information Manager with reporting related to establishment reconciliation between ESR and financial systems.
- Support the Workforce Information Manager with reporting requirements relating to Registration Authority and the CIS system.
- Provide the HR Business Partners with analysis and forecasting in support of divisional business planning activity.
- Work with the system leads for the various workforce systems (e.g. ESR, Healthroster, Trac, Kallidas) to identify and correct data quality issues as and when they arise.
- Compile responses to FOI requests requiring workforce information, working with colleagues across the HR Directorate where appropriate.

**Profile**

**PLEASE NOTE ROLE IS TEMPORARY FOR AN IMMEDIATE START.**
- Experience of manipulating complex datasets to produce analysis and reporting
- Experience of using ESR / Healthroster / Trac
- Experience of using Healthroster and/or other rostering systems.
- A detailed understanding of NHS data models and structures.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Ability to communicate complex data and analysis to non-technical stakeholders in an accessible manner.
- Capable of reaching timely and effective decisions based on the appropriate use of information.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification desirable
