So we too work hard to make them as strong and effective as possible through our **Family Liaison Officers.**

Oasis Academy Don Valley is a coeducational Academy, which admits students between the ages of 4 to 16 years, situated in Sheffield where we celebrate diversity and relentlessly focus on the attainment of all of our children. At Don Valley we thrive in an environment full of different thinkers and burgeoning potential. A multi-cultural hub of learning with fantastic facilities and a newly formed team of professional educators and support staff that have the best interests and safety of our young charges firmly at the centre of everything we do.

**The role and requirements**:
There is a full job description attached, but we are particularly interested in evidence of other experience and personal attributes, including:

- You will have a commitment to and or experience of working with and building relationships with people from a range of backgrounds and circumstances.
- You will have already proven your ability to impact on improving attendance and punctuality of young people.
- You will exhibit emotional resilience and understand the issues around diplomacy and confidentiality.
- You will be able to converse without confrontation and maintain an aura of calm and control in all circumstances, be an excellent communicator and negotiator with well developed counselling skills.
- Organised and adaptable you will be a natural collaborator and possess good literacy and numeracy skills with GCSEs in English and Maths.

Through your experiences you will have amassed a solid knowledge of the agencies involved in the support of children and will have deep understanding of social, cultural and family issues.
