Accounts Clerk

HPS are a leading insurance repair contractor in the North of England. We work for insurance companies and their networks carrying out works to properties that have been damaged by fire, water, storm, impact and subsidence.
Due to a good reputation, the number of clients we work for has grown over the last 18 months leading to an increase in workload and so we are looking for someone to join our team and assist with all aspects of day to day business accounts. We work closely with our accountants who are available to provide support as needed to assist you to take up this role.
We are a small friendly office, and the position will be permanent and long term for the right applicant.
**Key Duties**:
- Processing purchase orders/supplier invoices and statements, dealing with queries and resolving queries;
- Raising sales invoices/statements, reconciling payments, ensuring all incoming monies are accurately posted to client accounts, monitor and control aged debt;
- Reconciliation of bank/credit card statements;
- Quarterly VAT
**Requirements**:
- At least 5 years experience of working in an accounts office or similar role
- Confident in using Sage line 50, excel etc.
- Knowledge of management accounts and payroll an advantage
- Able to communicate with other non financial departments
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24-30 per week
**Salary**: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
