This is an amazing opportunity for the right person, contributing and helping to shape the Vertu Motors group’s PR and social media strategy. As one of the largest automotive retail groups in the UK, Vertu Motors plc is proud to represent over 32 of the world's most popular vehicle manufacturers from 190 dealerships nationwide. Our four main retail brands include Bristol Street Motors, Macklin Motors, Vertu Motors and Vertu Motorcycles. **About the Role** Our PR and Social Media Executive will play a key role in developing and sustaining our brands and wider Group’s image and reputation, by sharing stories, driving inquiries, and forging long term connections with our local audiences and communities. They will work alongside our wider marketing team, aligning closely with our Retail, Events, Partnerships, Content and Studio departments on a vast range of incredible projects. Our Group’s Mission Statement is "To deliver an outstanding customer motoring experience through honesty and trust", and as a custodian of the online voice of Vertu Motors, your position will be integral to this. **Key duties include**: - Delivering against a PR and social media marketing strategy for our brands and their platforms, working strongly towards short - and long-term targets. - Assisting the Head of PR and Social Media in managing all aspects of our social media platforms and implementing the set social media strategy. - Curating and developing a diverse schedule of content across social media platforms, using customer personas to attract, convert and retain customers. - Generate compelling, imaginative and original ideas and bring them to life with relevant objectives, conversion, sales or brand - tracked and measured. - Ensure all content is aligned to the brand look, feel and tone ensuring consistent experience. - Ensure all content is edited, proof-read and fact checked before being published. - Track and understand the performance and role social activity plays in successful customer journeys. - Hands on use of our Social Management tool Orlo, plus Google Analytics, to identify strengths and weaknesses in customer journeys and where content can improve audience engagement. Measure performance and be measured against KPIs. - Build relationships with 3rd parties, media outlets, journalists, influencers, manufacturers to generate bespoke campaigns. - Continuously review competition (direct/indirect) to generate new ideas to draw audience’s attention. **About You** About you** ***For this role, we are looking for you to have: - An excellent standard of written English to produce short and long copy. - 2+ years’ experience in a PR and/or social media orientated role. - Confident across a broad range of social media platforms. - Confident to create your own mobile-first video content where needed. - A passion for all things automotive. - Experience of using a social media management tool, such as Orlo or Hootsuite. - Experience using social listening tools and reporting tools, such as Mention, would be advantageous. - Experience of using project management tools, such as Asana, would be advantageous.
