**About Us**:At SHY Aviation, we're in the business of making dreams take flight. As an Accounts Assistant, you'll be an integral part of our vibrant and fast-paced team. Working closely with our Finance Director, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of our organisation.
**Your Responsibilities**:
- Utilise Xero and manage financial data for two entities, SHY Aviation and SHY Lifestyle, both operating in multiple currencies.
- Ensure the accurate and timely posting of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions into our finance systems.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
- Handle intercompany transactions seamlessly.
- Maintain meticulous records and organise documentation in the appropriate repositories.
- Contribute to ad-hoc accounting tasks.
- Continuously review and update customer and supplier ledgers.
- Prepare reconciliations for bank accounts and other balance sheet control accounts.
- Collect and input data for various financial spreadsheets.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices
- Propose changes or enhancements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

- Strong numerical aptitude with an unwavering attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer operations, including familiarity with Zero or similar online financial software packages.
- Exceptional organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Self-driven and motivated to take initiative.
