Like any educational setting, Pupil Referral Units come with their challenges. Learners in this environment have left mainstream education for a variety of reasons, be it SEN, attendance or Behavioural issues. This education environment gives these learnersa better suited environment, enabling them to receive the extra focus they need in order to complete their education journey.

Pupil Referral Units provide students that require extra attention or flexibility in their education provision a place to go where they can receive the support they need. Enabling them to have a better chance at achieving their goals than they would in mainstreamschool.

**Details of this position**:
This position is for a Head of Maths working within a PRU. This role will involve planning and delivering challenging and stimulating environments that will motivate the pupils to learn. Teaching KS2/3 students maths whilst ensuring high standards of pupil/teacherrelationships. As Head of maths you would also be preparing and managing the departmental budget, working to ensure that staff development needs are identified and programs are designed to meet their needs. The role would also come with the responsibilityto ensure the efficient deployment of department staff and making appropriate arrangements for classes when staff are absent.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday - 37 hours per week

Salary scale**:£38,690 + SEN/TLR**
- A teaching qualification
- Experience teaching KS3/4 Maths
