The Retail Senior Customer Consultant Hub is a small team within Principality Building Society who specialise in our home insurance product. The Hub has an amazing culture that reflects Principality’s values. You will work closely with your colleagues and manager who are supportive, encouraging and always on hand to help out. Following an internal promotion, an opportunity has arisen in our Whitchurch (Cardiff) Hub location. As part of the Hub, you will be an expert in your field, specialising in our home insurance product to provide a stand out experience to our members, ensuring their homes are protected and they have cover in place that meets their needs for when the unexpected happens. You will take referrals from our branch network and mortgage teams where you will provide our members with home insurance. Referrals are either transferred to you directly via our internal line or you will have pre-arranged appointments booked for you within your diary.

You will also take occasional calls from colleagues throughout the business supporting them with customer queries or insurance related questions along with following up members that you have quoted who were not in a position to proceed there and then. Full training is provided so experience in insurance is not essential You will spend time with your colleagues in the Hub and your manager learning all about the product and how to handle members’ questions, queries and also deal with their objections. All we ask is you have a ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to put what you learn in your training into practice.

The Hub is an excellent location to learn all about our business and also gives you opportunity to build close working relationships with other departments within the society, giving you exposure to the different roles we have at Principality, helping your career progression. Your normal hours of work will be Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm and Saturday’s where required 9am - 12pm for which you will receive time back in lieu. Job Purpose: - Have expert knowledge of our insurance product to provide stand out experience to our members and colleagues across the business - Grow our insurance custom through referrals from our branch and mortgage network - Use tools & systems provided to you to log the customer journey - Adherence to process to ensure the right outcomes for our members Previous Experience: Full training is provided for this role so previous experience in insurance is not essential. However it is beneficial to have: - Customer service experience - Telephone call handling skills - IT/Computer literate - Insurance experience desirable but NOT essential What can we offer you?
