**Description**
- Lead on management account preparation and budgetary control ensuring timely and smooth running of the finance function
- Advise all finance related matters and assist managers to interpret financial information to make decisions.
- Prepare analysis of financial performance, challenges and risks to the busines plan and strategy.
- Preparation of the annual budget in conjunction with the CEO and senior management team
- Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines
- Developing external relationships with appropriate stakeholders and statutory organisations such as the Inland Revenue.
- Attend meetings to report on the analysis of financial performance.
- Liaise with auditors as required and ensure annual monitoring is undertaken
- Develop financial information for inclusion within the Rees Board reports.
- Support the development of budgets and models to deliver Rees strategic plan and new projects and services, analysing trends and advising accordingly.
- Minimise financial risk.
- Liaise with the external payroll and pensions providers.
- Process payments to employees and suppliers.
- Manage VAT registration and processing of VAT reclaims, to include partial exemption calculations as necessary.
- Provide costings for new services, bids, and tenders as and when required.
- Development of Standing Financial Instructions for the business and relevant policies and procedures.
- To maintain the integrity of all the financial systems, procedures, and reports
- To ensure all financial instructions, policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Along with the Finance Director support with the recruitment and selection of financial staff.

**Profile**
- Qualified accountant with either CIMA/ACCA/ACA
- Experience with Charity/Not-for profit finance and VAT compliance.
- Keen eye for detail and analytical mindset.
- Dynamic and pro-active with willingness to accept change
- Ability to support and empathise with those we serve
- Ability to challenge established systems and procedures in a positive and non-confrontational way.
- Ability to relate to people from a wide range of backgrounds.
- Excellent listening skills and confidence in talking to people both in groups and one on one.
- To be influential - you will tailor your approach to best suit a variety of individuals.
- Good IT knowledge to maintain accurate records.
- To be an initiative-taker with good leadership, motivation and organisational skills as well as being a collaborative worker.
- To be a good communicator both verbal and written.

- To have the ability to challenge the 'status quo.'

**Job Offer**
