Teaching Fellow in Social Work

Peoples Futures Limited (a subsidiary of Coventry University) is currently recruiting to the post of Teaching Fellow in Social Work as a full-time post. You will join our highly regarded and established team of academics delivering on the BA Social Work, MA Social Work and the Degree Apprenticeship programmes. You will be registered with Social Work England with recent CPD and teaching/training experience or evidence of coaching, mentoring, and assessing others. Working within the School of Psychological, Social and Behavioural Science, in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, the Teaching Fellow role focuses on teaching delivery to support the student experience through inspirational pedagogy.

Coventry University are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated student-focused person to undertake core teaching, assessment, and student support within the social work programmes. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the design, delivery, and assessment of range of modules. Applicants with a strong social work professional background and the ability to contribute to areas such as readiness to practice, strength-based approach, communications module, reflective practice will be welcomed. You will be a confident and clear communicator with a high level of interpersonal skill, and personal effectiveness to promote an outstanding student experience. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and commitment to inter-professional and people with lived experiences perspectives.

The School of Psychological, Social and Behavioural Sciences is recognized for the high quality of its provision of applied and professional courses. Coventry University offers academic support and professional development support and provides the opportunity for staff without a recognised teaching qualification to undertake the Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice in Higher Education (PgCert APHE) leading to recognition as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
