This full-time post is available on a one-year fixed term basis.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working - some time on campus and some from home.

**Summary of the role**

The role is based within the Student Employability and Development (SED) team within SEAS who are responsible for interventions that enable students and graduates to acquire the skills, knowledge, experiential and place-based learning experience needed to secure graduate-level employment or further study and to be able to reflect on and articulate these skills to potential employers and other opportunity providers. The interventions are delivered both within departments and degree programmes as well as part of a comprehensive extra-curricular programme of career management skills and professional development support and advice. Programmes may be sector and occupational specific or interdisciplinary.

The credit-bearing activity will cover a broad range of developing career management and work placement programmes, both generic and bespoke to the needs of disciplines and include designing assessment methods and conducting marking where agreed with colleges. Extra-curricular focussed activity will require the design and development of a range of workshops relating to the broad needs of the student population, whether in small group or larger class sizes, and occasionally conducting one-to
- one guidance interviews where specialist knowledge and experience is required.

The role has responsibility for providing administrative support to the Placements team and students who are engaging with work placements as part of their studies.

**The main aspects of the role include, but are not limited to**:

- Acting as a first point of contact for internal and external enquirers, maintaining the highest standards of customer service. Responding to, triaging or resolving enquiries appropriately
- Responsibility for the placement paperwork process across the University using University IT systems
- Process and input data providing basic reports as needed
- Maintain a central information point for placements; collating and updating relevant information through a variety of media, including website maintenance where required
- Service meetings and committees by providing agendas, minutes, papers, as well as managing logístical arrangements
