As our services grow, we have an exciting opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist or Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our award winning, friendly, supportive and welcoming team.

The role's focus will primarily be Acorn School, Winkleigh, Devon. However travel to other sites will be required at times.

**_ This exciting opening comes at a time when our team is growing and our services expand across the South West of England and South Wales. We're looking for a therapist who is passionate about working in a forward thinking and innovative way, including within a Neurodiversity Affirming framework or who has an interest in learning more about this and evolving their practice in line with this framework._**:
Phoenix Learning and Care support neurodivergent students with associated Social, Emotional, Behavioural, Mental Health Needs, and/or associated complex needs. The main base will be Acorn School, Winkleigh, North Devon, an independent, co-educational school providing day placements for children requiring smaller bespoke learning and social environments. The school caters for children in key stage 2, 3 and 4 with Additional Learning Needs.

This is a unique opportunity to work within a truly therapeutic environment where our dedicated in-house Integrated Therapies Team work seamlessly with education team members to provide meaningful packages of support that enable children and young people to reach their individual potential.

**What we are looking for**:

- Ideally at least 2-5 years’ experience post qualification, with completed NQP competencies,
- Must be HCPC and RCSLT registered.
- Show commitment to learning and unlearning in relation to the SLT role within Neurodiversity Affirming support.

The Specialist Speech and Language Therapist role will include leadership responsibilities, including supervising SLT students on placement and junior members of the team (following a period of support and training).
