Job Introduction
**Domestic Team Leader**
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Domestic Team Leader to lead the cleaning and laundry operations in our care home. In this key role, you’ll ensure a high standard of cleanliness, infection control, and resident satisfaction, while also supervising and supporting the Domestic Team.
**Why Join Us?**
At Avante Care & Support, we’re more than a care provider—we’re a community. With a focus on quality and compassion, we provide exceptional residential and community care for older people and those with special needs across Kent and South-East London.
**What you’ll do**:
- ** Team Management**: Prepare rotas, allocate tasks, and provide guidance to the Domestic Team, ensuring fair and efficient coverage.
- ** Quality Control**: Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning routines, ensuring all standards and infection control measures are met. Conduct spot checks and audits to maintain quality.
- ** Resident Support**: Respect residents' choices, involve them in activities where appropriate, and ensure their belongings are handled and stored with care.
- ** Stock and Budget Management**: Order cleaning supplies, maintain stock levels, and ensure adherence to budgets while minimizing waste.
- ** Safety and Compliance**: Ensure all cleaning and laundry activities comply with health and safety regulations, COSHH guidelines, and company policies.
- ** Training and Supervision**: Support team development through performance reviews, training, and maintaining compliance with mandatory requirements.
**What we’re looking for**:
- Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage a team effectively.
- Experience in domestic services, ideally in a care home or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and COSHH regulations.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, dignity, and respect for residents.
