**Democratic Services Officer (Civic Office and Members)**:
A rare opportunity has arisen to join the Democratic Services team working at the heart of Tower Hamlets Council. A Democratic Services Officer (Civic and Members) is required on a part-time (14 hours), permanent basis to join a professional and friendly team providing comprehensive support and guidance to Tower Hamlets Members.

The role involves working in a highly sensitive political environment providing efficient, high quality support to all Members; including Cabinet and Backbench Councillors, Co-optees, Independent Persons and similar as well as supporting the Speaker and Deputy Speaker in carrying out their civic role.

This is an interesting and varied role where no two days are the same. At the heart of the role is a high level of customer service and the ability to advise and solve problems. The role can be demanding and requires a flexible approach. Your work base will be the Town Hall at Mulberry Place but extensive working from home will also be required. Occasional attendance at evening meetings is also required.

If you would like an open and informal discussion regarding this role then please contact Patricia Attawia, Democratic Services Team Leader (Civic and Members) on 020 7354 4883.
