We are seeking to appoint a an Assistant Principal and Designated Safeguarding Lead to support the Executive Principal in providing leadership for the school as part of a contemporary inspired Rudolf Steiner school which secures its success and continuous improvement, ensuring high quality education for all its students and the highest standards of learning and achievement in accordance with statutory and Ofsted requirements and the vision, and method of Ruskin Mill Trust.

The post will have the responsibility for the Designated Safeguarding Lead and lead the behaviour management and pastoral support within the school.

**Main Duties to include**:

- Assist the Executive Principal to create an organisational structure that reflects the school’s values, and enables the management systems, structures and processes to work effectively in line with legal requirements.
- To deputise for the Executive Principle where needed
- To act as a line manager for designated staff, including carrying probationary reviews, performance development reviews, supervisions, debriefs and performance and absence management.
- To support the Executive Principle to develop a school ethos that enables everyone to work collaboratively, share knowledge and understanding, celebrate success and accept responsibility for outcomes.
- To work in collaboration with the Executive Principle to drive the school improvement and the school self-assessment and improvement plan in the context of the Ofsted inspection framework and the educational and therapeutic paradigm of the Trust.
