Job Title: Travel and Tourism Lecturer

**Responsibilities**:

- Delivering high-quality lectures on travel and tourism topics, including destination management, tour operations, hospitality, customer service, sustainable tourism, marketing, and event management.
- Developing and updating course curriculum to ensure relevance to industry trends and best practices.
- Designing and delivering practical sessions, field trips, and workshops to enhance student learning and provide real-world experience.
- Assessing student performance through assignments, examinations, and projects, and providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Mentoring and advising students on their academic progress, career opportunities, and professional growth within the travel and tourism industry.
- Collaborating with colleagues to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment, sharing resources and best teaching practices.
- Keeping abreast of industry developments, emerging trends, and advancements in travel and tourism, and incorporating them into teaching materials and methodologies.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of the travel and tourism department through active participation in meetings, curriculum development, and faculty initiatives.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Travel and Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the travel and tourism industry, with expertise in destination management, tour operations, hospitality, and customer service.
- Previous teaching or training experience in a travel and tourism-related discipline is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Passion for travel and tourism, demonstrated through active industry involvement, networking, and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Proficiency in relevant computer software and technology used in the travel and tourism field.
