Simply Orthodontics in Orpington has an exciting opportunity for an experienced dental/orthodontic receptionist to join our team.

Someone with Dental Nurse experience and who does not mind helping out from time to time will be given priority.

We are proud of the excellent service we are able to offer our patients and are looking for a dynamic receptionist and an ambitious individual to join our team.

**General Purpose**

Attend to patients on the phone and in person. Co-ordinate and organise appointments and administration to facilitate the efficient running of the practice.

**Hours**:
Mondays 8.30- 5.30, Tuesdays 8.30-5.30, Thursdays 8.30-5.30, Wednesdays 8.30-5.30

Will also be required to cover leave at our sister practice on a Wednesday evening/Saturday morning as necessary.

**Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities**
- Greet patients
- Register new patients following established protocols
- Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation
- Verify and update patient information
- Inform patients of orthodontic procedures and policy
- Move patients through appointments as scheduled
- Enter all relevant patient information into our data system
- Maintain and manage patient records in compliance with privacy and security regulations
- Answer and manage incoming calls
- Respond and comply to requests for information
- Schedule patient appointments
- Check daily appointment schedule
- Collect and receipt payments from patients at time of treatment
- Inform patients of financial treatment plan options
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing post
- Monitor and maintain inventory of orthodontic office supplies
- Maintain a professional reception area
- Record and organise laboratory work and liaise with labs
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality

**Required Education and Experience**
- Knowledge of general administrative and clerical procedures

**Preferred but not essential Education and Experience**
- Knowledge of orthodontic terminology, procedures and diagnosis
- Knowledge of Orthotrac patient management software (preferred but not essential as training will be provided)

Please note: This role is for between 30-36 hours per week

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.30 per hour
