A vacancy has arisen for a B4 Therapy Assistant Practitioner working 3 days a week (Wednesday - Friday) in our 2nd floor team. The team supports the assessment, treatment and discharge planning for patients on Department of Medicine for the Elderly and general medical wards.

Post holders will independently manage their own designated caseload under supervision of qualified staff. Carry out assessment and set treatment plans within a specified clinical area/pathway. Contribute to departmental and service needs across 7 days. Post holders will be required to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be committed to team working and patient care. You maybe required to work across 2 sites depending on your area of work; Arrowe Park Hospital and Clatterbridge Hospital. We are looking for someone who is flexible and enthusiastic. This is a physically demanding role.

You will receive support from experienced senior clinical staff, regular supervision and training.

If successful in this role, there is a requirement for you to have a standard/enhanced DBS. This will be paid for by the Trust and then deducted from your salary over a period of 3 month.

As this vacancy is within the division of Women’s and Children’s, there is a mandatory requirement for successful applicants to join the DBS update service. The cost of joining the update service is £13 per year, and applicants are liable to cover this cost with no reimbursement from the Trust. Further details of how to join the update service will be provided upon appointment.
