**Job Description - Front of House Staff**

The Star is a well-established village pub set in beautiful countryside. We have rooms, a thriving restaurant and bar, and a large beer garden. We are currently looking for Front of House staff to join our happy team. If you’re looking to work in hospitality, have strong communication skills, and enjoy working in a busy environment, we’d love you to be part of our family

**About the Role**
Customer facing, you could be working in our bar, restaurant or rooms, ensuring top-quality service and a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Work with other staff, including bartenders, servers, and housekeeping
- Maintain a positive and friendly atmosphere for guests and team members
- Uphold standard operating procedures for smooth service
- Maintain compliance with food safety and alcohol regulations
- Ensure bar well stocked and operating smoothly
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate food and beverage service
- Follow our bar procedures and uphold excellent customer service
- Handle customer inquiries and if necessary pass on any issues professionally
- Stay updated on industry trends and be open to new ideas to enhance the overall experience

**What We’re Looking For**
- Previous experience in restaurant or bar work would be an asset, but full training will be given
- Willingness to learn and be adaptable - we are a busy pub and restaurant and we are looking for people who can interchange roles and work flexible hours if necessary
- Good team working skills
- A knowledge of basic hygiene and health and safety procedures would be helpful, but full training will be given
- Good customer service skills with the ability to be diplomatic if necessary
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle cash and card payments
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining standards
- Excellent communication skills

**What We Offer**
- Competitive pay (based on experience)
- Full-time Hours (40-48 per week) or Flexible Part-time Hours (15-30 per week) - to be agreed
