Rutherford Briant are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join a high growth global business based in Grays for an initial six month contract to cover a business wide system implementation.

This role will give you exposure to the month-end including the General Ledger, Account Payable and Receivable while working with a wider team.

Responsibilities include:

- Provide assistance with AR/AP/GL input into various systems to enable existing staff to participate in system training
- Overall management of the Account Payable and Recievable ledgers
- Assist with data template creation for upload to new system.
- Assist with User Acceptance Testing when required.
- Reconciliations between old and new system.
- Dual entry and reconciliation during the parallel run period for transactional finance data.
- Adhoc duties as required for system implementation and cross over
- Good understanding of accounting concepts including double entry and reconciliations of control accounts between two systems
- Experience working in a finance department
- The ability to use Microsoft office packages and especially strong in using excel
