Flourish Education are looking for a teaching assistant to work with a three-form entry school in the Rowley Regis area. At present, the school are looking for an additional teaching assistant to support with a Reception pupil on a 1:1 basis who has a rangeof needs. The school has an SEN Hub where pupils with additional needs are supported.

**Job role**
- Working as a teaching assistant Reception class within the SEN Hub
- Supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis with needs, including: ASD, Global Delay, Non-verbal communication and behavioural issues
- Reporting pupil progress against targets/action plans to the class teacher
- Build relationships with the pupil, parents and staff
- Attend CPD relevant to the role
- Full time role - 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday
- Follow school policy regarding behaviour management systems

**Required skills and experience**
- Valid Level 3 teaching assistant, Learning Support Practitioner (LSA), Learning Support Practitioner (LSP) qualification
- Experience of working with an SEN pupil
- Experience of supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis as directed by the teacher
- Knowledge of the Early Years framework and objectives
- A nurturing and caring approach with young people
- A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months.
- Minimum of 2 excellent references required.

The teaching assistant role is within a school in the Rowley Regis area. The school has on-site parking and available parking on the road outside school for teachers and teaching assistants. It is easily commutable from Dudley, Oldbury, Halesowen, CradleyHeath and Bearwood. If you are travelling by bus, there are excellent transportation links with buses running to the road the school is on.
