Quantum Power Connections are a North East based leading multi utility and street lighting installation provider. We have an exciting immediate opportunity for an experienced Health, Safety and accreditation compliance officer to support the company’s range of operations and accreditations.

**The role**:

- Reporting to the SHEQ Manager
- To ensure operational teams are supported with the required training, knowledge and skills.
- Maintaining day to day responsibility for safety / training / accreditation compliance delivery.
- Actively support in the implementation of the HSE Improvement and development plans.
- Drive and improve behavioural based safety
- Maintain the structure, people, processes, systems, core competencies, and culture required to achieve the HSE plan and lead and manage the change required
- To review assignments or projects considering the skills knowledge and experience of required personnel
- Ensure leading and lagging indicators are measured, data analysed and trended, and improvement plans developed.
- To ensure teams comply fully with the requirements of legislation, accreditations and customer specific instructions
- Support the organisation in maintaining all accreditations
- Have the ability to develop method statements / risk assessments and new company policies and procedures.
- Deploy industry HSE standards and best-practice and legislative changes
- Identify shortfalls/gaps and to ensure compliance with Company Policy, System and relevant Standards
- Act in a professional manner at all times.
- To adhere fully to Health & Safety responsibilities
- Working 45 hours per week

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
- Approved Certification for the delivery of in house training desirable but not essential
- Relevant and demonstrable experience of safety management in utility / construction industry
- Knowledge of HSE legislation, industry and best-practice standards
- IT literate
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, Achilles, CHAS, Lloyds Accreditation
- Knowledge of NERS, GIRS,WIRS accreditations will be advantageous
- Ability to analyse and identify root causes of incidents.
- Understanding of the costs of quality and their improvement.
- Demonstrate resilience and aptitude to work independently.

**The person**:

- Able to work on own initiative as well as within a team with a proactive, flexible, can-do attitude
- Must have full UK driving licence
