Night Care Assistant

Main responsibilities of post:
To work as a member of the care team ensuring good working practice in all aspects of client care. To work in accordance with established principles, practices and procedures. To maintain CQC standards. To work towards the maintenance of the quality statement.
- To carry out domestic and care duties to the highest standard at all times
- To complete the handover sheet and chore sheets appropriately
- Management and administration of medication and creams
- To escort clients on hospital visits in the event of an emergency
- To maintain a wakeful watch at all-time throughout the shift
- To carry out hourly/two hourly checks on all residents
- All staff have a duty to meet the highest standards in all that they do
- To adhere to the policies and procedures of the home
- To attend training weeks & other training required
- To complete handover at the end of each shift
**Experience and Requirements**
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
- Previous experience in home care or a similar healthcare setting is preferred
- Strong ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining patient records is advantageous.
- A caring nature with a passion for supporting others in their daily lives.
**Summary**
As a Night Care Assistant, you will be essential in providing compassionate care and support to residents during night-time hours. Your core skills in Health & Social Care, along with your NVQ Level 3 qualification, will be vital in delivering high-quality care. Additionally, your proficiency in English and IT, combined with strong communication skills, will enhance the overall experience for both residents and staff
Pay: From £13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 42 per week
