Assistant Financial Controller

**Assistant Financial Controller - Hybrid from Windsor - Up to £46,000 per annum**
My client are a well-known and respected organisation based in Windsor that are seeking appoint an Assistant Financial Controller to their small and close-knit finance team.
**Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Financial Controller**
- Assist the Financial Controller in preparing financial reporting, P&L and reviewing variances for business unit management
- Interpret and present financial analysis in a persuasive format, providing insights and recommendations to key stakeholders to inform and influence decisions
- Act as a financial business partner for key stakeholders within the SLT and others
- Support the year-end accounting and control processes to meet statutory requirements
- Oversee the preparation of monthly accounts, budgets and forecasts in a timely and accurate manner
- Produce performance indicator reports and analysis, as well as ad-hoc reports and investigations, as required by management
- Prepares and submits monthly cash flow forecasts and budgets for the business unit
- Liaise with and manages external auditors
- Appraise financial risk to inform decisions
- Appraise investment proposals associated with new products and capital expenditure
- Manage a team to develop their skills, conduct regular performance reviews and provide guidance to ensure objectives are met and procedures
**Key essentials of the Assistant Financial Controller**
- Fully Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and management accounts processes
- Strong understanding of Excel and experience working on SAP would be useful
- Strong communication skills with an ability to build positive relationships at all levels
- Demonstrable leadership skills and a clear vision for team development
