**The role**

User-perspective software testing:

- Conceiving and detailing comprehensive test plans to test software functionality
- Conducting tests and clearly detailing results
- Liaising with the development team
- Writing reusable test plans for existing areas of functionality in the software
- Liaising with the support team: issue investigation; issue analysis; issue reporting
- Writing and maintaining both customer-facing and internal help and guidance documentation
- Functional specification writing

- Excellent written and verbal communication; excellent listening skills
- Good to excellent general IT skills
- A highly methodical, systematic and focused approach to addressing problems/tasks
- Ability to see the ‘bigger picture’ and take the perspective of an end-user using the software
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and self-manage
- Ability to work under pressure and adjust dynamically to shifting priorities

**Desirable skills**
- An interest or background in software development/computers
- Knowledge of the property lettings and/or estate agency management industry
