Software Tester

**Manual Software Tester, Hybrid, Edinburgh.
Cyberhawk has a new opportunity for a Manual Tester to be involved in the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment. You would be joining our small testing team who work closely with our software and product teams. You'll conduct manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose and any bugs or issues are removed within a product before it gets deployed to everyday users.

We are flexible, hybrid working. This can be a mostly UK remote role gathering in the Edinburgh (Ratho) office every 3 months or so as a wider team. However, if you live locally to our Edinburgh office and wish to come in weekly or monthly you would be most welcome.

**What you will be doing**:

- Meeting with system users to understand the scope of projects.
- Working with software developers and project support teams.
- Planning testing projects.
- Running manual tests.
- Carrying out stress testing, performance testing, functional testing and scalability testing.
- Testing in different environments including web and mobile.
- Designing tests to mitigate risk.
- Writing bug reports.
- Reviewing documentation.
- Working towards departmental and project deadlines.
- Providing quality assurance.
- Providing objective feedback to software development project teams.
- Troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Presenting findings to software development and business user teams.
- Working on multiple projects at one time.
- Documenting analysis.
- Communicating findings to technical and non-technical colleagues.

**You would be a good fit for our role if**:

- You have solid experience as a manual software tester and working with developers.
- Are able to design and carry out tests, write bug reports and review documentation.
- You are kind and support others.
- You take ownership, responsibility, and pride in your work.
- You are a good problem solver who can bring ideas and discuss with colleagues
- You are keen to support users and customers to get the most out of our products.
- We are transitioning towards automated testing so if you had any experience in this that would be beneficial.
