There is no shame if this sector and industry is not the right direction for you, it's crucial to know early. You will be working with children who have been tragically let down by the adult world and have been through significant trauma.

This LSA role is based in small classes, it's a much personalised education and it has to be. Working 1:1 and in small groups with students who have been through significant traumas, focus on restorative practices. Restorative practices underpin everythingthat happens within this specialist SEMH School.

Can you demonstrate the value of an education to a child? Can you help give them the skills that can able them to be less vulnerable and susceptible to being manipulated. Empathy drives connection, sympathy drives disconnection - no one wants your sympathy, your students need pragmatism and solutions in this LSA role.
