N-able in Edinburgh is looking to hire a Senior Brand Content Editor and Strategist.
**Responsibilities**:
Brand content strategy and thought leadership development, responsibilities:
- Leverage your industry understanding and content skills to partner with internal thought leaders, external research professionals and other external partners to plan, develop and execute the annual brand content calendar.
- Work closely with the marketing leads to identify content project needs in response to business requirements, ensuring joined-up and integrated activities where-ever possible.
- Determine the appropriate content strategy and channel strategy for each project and determine and achieve the optimal storytelling approach to increase audience engagement and improve the strategic impact of owned channels.
- Act as the brand storytelling strategist to ensure that each content project is clear and compelling—that the story flows logically and ensures reader/viewer/listener engagement from start to finish, the ideas are well-differentiated and communicated accurately and directly, the phrasing is dynamic and conversational, the overall content project will be perceived by target audiences as high-quality and high-value, and the content will achieve the content creators’ objectives.
- Act as a champion for our audience, gaining a deep understanding of their content consumption behaviors and preferences based on collaboration with key stakeholders in the company and partner-facing teams.
- Manage the creation of long-form content projects from inception to delivery
- Work closely with company spokespeople to ghostwrite, rewrite, or substantively edit thought leadership content to ensure quality, readability, and audience engagement while maintaining the authors’ voices.
- Edit copy for grammar, punctuation, readability, flow, and style.
- Coordinate with authors, designers, marketing, and other internal teams to ensure that project timelines are accurately set and met.
- Commission and manage external writers where required.
Take specific ownership of the N-able blog with the following deliverables:
- Manage content flow - inc. planning, editing, commissioning, and scheduling.
- Work with key internal stakeholders (NERDS, PMMs, PSMs, Community and key spokespeople) for blog content strategy, editorial calendar, post ideas and delivery on a quarterly basis.
- Provide copywriting support as needed.
- Ensure a minimum of three blog posts per week appear on the N-able site from inside company.
- Liaise with key stakeholders with regards to content requirements around campaigns, launches and initiatives.
- Work closely with SEO team to ensure meeting specific SEO targets with blog content; as well as jumping onto key trending topics.
- Work with social media team to outline posts for new and thematically relevant past content.
- Provide ongoing lifecycle management of previously published content to see what needs rewriting, redirecting, or removing.
- Report and analyze blog post performance to include traffic, engagement, shares, etc. in monthly dashboard.
- Work with marketing and web dev to ensure blog is optimized to drive traffic to relevant products
- Work with relevant teams to drive subscriptions to blog.
Qualifications:
- 10-15 years of technology-oriented content writing and editing.
- Fluent in use of digital media platforms such as Google Analytics
- Proven work experience working in marketing communications brand.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Project management skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional storyteller, editor, ability to manage content curation, acquisition, execution, and evaluation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field.
