**Senior School Finance Officer - Croydon - £30k - Permanent role - ASAP Start SEND Academy Trust**

Are you an experienced and competent Finance Officer seeking a role in an expanding special educational needs group of schools?

Are you experienced within an academy trust?

This is an exciting **Senior School Finance Officer **opportunity for an experienced Finance Officer to take a lead role across 3 sites with scope to becoming the finance controller for the cluster of schools. You will support and oversee 3 other Finance Officers with a view to eventually taking a Finance Manager role within the next few years which could involve line managing 5+ finance officers.

**Main duties for Senior School Finance Officer role**:

- Processing invoices
- Some purchase orders
- Shared services team - overseeing 3 schools with 2 more schools in the pipeline to join
- Checking other finance officer’s work
- Part preparation of Management Accounts
- Bank reconciliation
- Payment runs
- Some procurement

**Essential requirements for Senior School Finance Officer role**:

- Experience as a Finance Officer in an academy trust
- Excellent IT skills
- Experience with PS Financial/Sage for Education/Access Finance/Xero
- Personable - able to communicate well with pupils, colleagues, parents and governors.
- Leadership skills and passion to become a manager
