Euro London Appointment's client, a US leader in entertainment lighting for events, festivals, TV and weddings, is currently looking for a talented IT Support Specialist to take on responsibility for local support in their Belgian office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a 1st/2nd line support specialist with prior experience in internal support to join an organisation that is growing internationally. You will take responsibility for supporting several local internal departments ( Sales,Quality, Logistics etc ) who will rely on your strong Helpdesk support skills to help them carry out their work smoothly.
This is an ideal position for a self-standing specialist who is used to working with a large degree of autonomy reporting into a remote manager with support from remote colleagues when required.
Please see below the key responsibilities for this position
*Helpdesk ticketing, tracking user request for assistance and keeping an eye on the ticketing queue, updating managers on any delays.
*Working with and following up on vendor contracts.
*Collaborating with remote colleagues in the US, requesting assistance when required if you can't find a fix locally.
*Keeping an eye on the guidelines around software copying and advising management of any inappropriate usage.
*Standard fetch activities, delivering, picking up and /or shipping equipment to repair vendors as required and tracking the progress.
*Mission log-keeping track of equipment serial numbers, their original and new locations as well as maintaining documentation of systems and software configuration.
*Your mission is to manage user and systems accounts in Windows Server, SQL 2016, Warehouse Management Systems and Sage 300.
*Helping level up teams You have the ability to provide end-user training on desktop packages such as Office 365 and Windows 10.
*In short, you're ready to save the day, or at least make sure critical business systems outages are restored quickly for a friendly, welcoming and grateful local teams who will value your skills and experience
Skills and experience required
*Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
*Networks ( LAN/WAN) and patch management.
*Avaya or similar IP phone systems.
*Helpdesk tools and ticket routing.
*Enterprise resource planning ( SAP, Oracle, Sage or MS Dynamics)
*Systems Security ( e.g intrusion detection systems) and data back-up/recovery.
*Degree in Computer Information Technology/Management or equivalent experience in at least one long-term position.
*Fluent English and ideally very advanced or fluent Dutch/Flemish. Other languages ( German/French are beneficial but not essential)
*A flexible, adaptable mind-set for working in an SME where you will sometimes need to pitch in and assist with tasks that aren't listed above.
*As you might expect, you'll need excellent time management, organisational and communications skills to work with all levels of stakeholder across different functions within the business, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
