We are seeking bank staff to join our highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic Bowel Cancer Screening Team.

You will maintain the administrative duties required to sustain the smooth running of the Bowel Screening programme andwill be expected to provide statistical information to assist with monitoring service productivity and audits as well as all other reports required by Trust Board, Commissioners and the BCS Quality Assurance team.

The ability to be flexible & organised in the workplace with a passion for delivering a quality and successful service is essential. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required to maintain and develop relationships with a wide range of internal and external contacts

You must be compassionate and caring, with good communication skills as you will be required to discuss information to patients and relatives and ensure that all information is fully understood. You must be self-motivated and able to work under your own initiative, as well as being part of a dedicated team.

You will need to be flexible and resilient in order to cope with the demands of the role. Good IT knowledge is essential with evidence of word/Microsoft Excel, as you will need to record, collect, audit and monitor data accurately.

Bank shifts will be allocated with advance notice, but there will also be occasions where shifts are offered at short notice to cover unplanned absence.

The Bowel Cancer Screening programme has been running for 12 years and is well established, currently serving a population of 1.3 million.

We are a busy service and the post holder will be expected to work on his/her own initiative and as a part of a team..

**Please be aware this is a bank post and therefore hours will be as when when required.**

The post holder is expected to adhere to Trust policies and procedures and relevant legislation including the requirements of any professional bodies and to attend mandatory training as identified by the Trust.
