Job Specification - Planning and Materials Co-Ordinator

Reports to:
General Manager

Role Purpose:
The role of the Planning and Materials Co-Ordinator is to align the fresh plan to meet sales requirements whilst ensuring OTIF service level. Co-ordinate all material scheduling and supply to site.

Key Accountabilities

Fresh Planning
- To ensure on time in full customer service level is achieved while optimizing resource effectively as possible - labour, plant utilizations and materials
- Utilize forecast information to balance stock
- Work alongside department managers to ensure best possible production plan is assembled
- Deliver / recover production plan against order shortfalls

Materials Scheduling
- Establish weekly requirements & align with the stock control team
- Send requirements to Purchasing Manager
- Raise purchase orders for all material requirements
- Establish and maintain an internal KPI tracking system for suppliers

Manufacturing
- Monitor factory performance to ensure production plan has been fulfilled
- Deliver recovery plans following any deviation from the production plan

Material Storage
- Responsible for the stock level and stock management of the seasoning room
- Align material stock with requirements/capacity in all chills

Qualifications & experience
- 5+ years in a similar role
- A comprehensive understanding of food manufacturing
- Proven experience in interacting at a senior level
- Excellent Excel skills and experience

- OTIF
- Capacity planning
- Finished Goods stock control - fresh and frozen sales
- Forecasting - managing raw material shortages and surpluses
- Efficient production scheduling
