Transport Planner

**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement transport plans that align with organisational goals and customer requirements.
- Analyse transportation data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Utilise IT systems and software, including Excel and Word, to manage logistics operations effectively.
- Monitor transport performance metrics and prepare reports for management review.
- Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency and reducing costs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in transport planning.
**Skills**
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Strong customer service orientation, ensuring client satisfaction through effective transport solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to guide teams towards achieving operational objectives.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles and practices is advantageous.
- A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate site visits as necessary.
