Hotel Night Receptionist

Graduate Hotels is seeking a **Night Receptionist** to join **Graduate Cambridge** and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts The shifts are 11 pm to 7 am.

The 148-bedroom Graduate Cambridge hotel is part of the Graduate Hotels collection inspired by the prestigious University of Cambridge and its surrounding town. Set right on the River Cam, in the heart of Cambridge's historic centre. The hotel feels like an extension of the university, with nods to college architecture.

**THE ROLE**

The Night Receptionist is a crucial role that assists our Night Manager / Assistant Night Manager in running the night shifts smoothly at the hotel. Although the Night Receptionist will be welcoming the guest at the main entrance and lobby area, carrying luggage, guiding the guest to the bedrooms, and conducting room orientations, would also assist with any guest requirements overnight by delivering amenities, Room Service, amongst other tasks to ensure the night shift is run smoothly.

**THE TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- When our guests sleep in their beds, the Nights Porter/Receptionist keeps the hotel running like clockwork.
- Greeting guests and creating a welcoming and memorable arrival/check-out experience.
- Resolving guest concerns - you will be fully empowered to make decisions whilst dealing with guests and are expected to take full ownership of the feedback to ensure every guest leaves the hotel happy.
- Ensuring the security of the hotel throughout the night including regular fire checks.
- Providing a limited room service offering of food & beverages ensuring excellent food quality and service.
- Cleaning and preparing hotel public areas throughout the night.
- Covering general reception duties as required including guest check-in, check-out; answering the telephone; night audit procedures.
- Ensuring hotel health & safety procedures are maintained and overseeing emergency response and evacuation procedures as required.
- Assisting with the preparation and setting up of hotel meetings and event spaces as and when necessary.
- Recording any maintenance issues onto our Alice App and communicating across other departments.
- Completing handover to day shift prior to leaving in the morning
- Other duties can be assigned within the scope of the role.

- Customer service experience
- Knowledge of PMS (desirable)
- A positive attitude and someone who makes our guests smile
- A great team player who works well with others
- Ability to communicate in English, verbally and in writing
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and bank holidays
