As a member of the credit control team, you will be calling customers and negotiating payment arrangements or alternative solutions for based on individual situations, to minimise bad debts.

**Your responsibilities will focus on**
- Calling customers who have fallen behind on account payments.
- Scheduling and completing follow up phone calls to customers.
- Responding to enquiries, whether received by telephone or in writing, efficiently.
- Effective questioning and listening skills, discuss with customers how and why their account is in arrears, identifying root causes and future barriers.
- Monitoring delinquent accounts and implement collection process.
- Inputting information through data screens to accurately reflect account activity & resolve account discrepancies and balances.
- Receiving or placing calls or sending letters to customers to resolve billing or invoice issues on delinquent accounts.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with customers.
- Assisting in accounts receivable admin tasks, including escalation for customer invoicing.
- Working to improve cash collection and any other ad-hoc tasks when required.
- Liaising with Partners/Associates regarding outstanding debt, providing assistance to them in order to resolve outstanding queries and in turn speed up the payment process.
- Keeping accurate and up to date records of all debt chasing, using experience and judgment to ensure that items are followed up and escalated at the appropriate points in time.
- Working to monthly collection targets aimed at continually improving both the debtor day and 30/60/90-day debt profiles.

**What we need from you**
- Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Apt in negotiating and persuading.
- Ability to be polite and compassionate without lacking confidence.
