We are seeking a 16+ educator to work in our alternative provision who is able to deliver a high-quality, restorative and inclusive education to post -16 students including those with SEMH, EHCPs and LAC. Lessons will take place both in classrooms, outside and on a working farm, promoting engagement through creative and practical learning.

You will play a vital role in students' lives by providing them with the emotional, social, and academic support they need to succeed. Working closely with the team and external agencies, you will be responsible for delivering tailored interventions that address the specific needs of everyone.

**These are some of the Key Responsibilities**:
Deliver tailored education to post-16 learners, focusing on Functional Skills (Entry Level 1 to Level 2), vocational skills, and employability skills

Design and implement personalised learning programmes to support individual EHCP outcomes

Incorporate real-life contexts, including daily living tasks and work experience, to enhance engagement and life readiness.

Be committed to the safeguarding of students at all times

Provide guidance and support to students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals

Provide emotional support and promote independence in learners with complex needs

**Skills and experience required**:

- Previous experience working with post-16 SEN students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathise and build relationships with students from diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of young people
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team or independently when required
- Flexibility, resilience, and a positive attitude towards overcoming challenges

**Person Specification**:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) - Desirable
- Experience working in alternative provision or with SEN students - Desirable
- Strong behaviour management and relational/restorative practice skills - Desirable
- A flexible and creative approach to teaching - Essential
- Confidence to teach in a classroom or outdoor setting - Essential
- Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding children - Essential

This role is term time only plus holiday entitlement

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
