**Owen Daniels is working with a client who is based within the engineering and manufacturing industry and are currently seeking an Project Quality Engineer, who will be responsible for supporting the planning, set up and control of the organisationsproject quality management and assurance systems.**
**Project Quality Engineer**
- Work with the NPI team to drive a right first-time approach to product development, facilitate and manage use quality tools such as DFx, DFMEA, 5Y and Ishikawa
- Ensure project adherence to all relevant regulatory legislation and to provide approval of internal project documentation
- Manage lessons learnt reviews and feedback to enable effective continual improvement, corrective / preventative action activities
- Provide Engineering / Technical teams with experience and knowledge in document generation and authoring to meet project / customer needs
- Work with Product Management, Engineering and NPI to develop and manage / report on the critical to quality and quality targets for the project
- Develop / improve the companies project quality assurance processes and procedures whilst providing the quality input and assurance review support to all projects
- Preparation and delivery against Project Quality Plans
- Act as customer interface and PoC for project Quality related activities
- Support and promote a risk-based approach to project quality and delivery
- Provide independent system monitoring / process health check on behalf of the business
- To establish healthy working relationships with key stakeholders and become a trusted partner
- Establish good relations with Engineering and Project Management and lead / support project delivery framework and gate audits where required
- Work with Product Marketing and Engineering to clarity requirements / documentation to ensure compliance, accuracy, efficiency
- Pre-empt upcoming project work and work with Project Management to determine the required input and project quality resources required to support the projects
- Analyses internal and external quality data, documents, and acts on opportunities for improving reliability and quality
- Identifies ways of eliminating unsatisfactory performance, doing things better, cheaper, and/or faster whilst maintaining reliability and quality

**Project Quality Engineer**
**Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications**:

- QA experience in development of complex electronics, high frequency / telecommunication products
- Qualification or experience in Six Sigma / Total Quality Management tool sets
- Experience of managing projects through use of APQP
- Ability to facilitate Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis meetings, ensuring action plans are identified and progressed
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9001 requirements
- Practical experience of defining, creating and delivery of functional quality and cross functional processes and procedures in support of development of a quality management system
- Familiar with problem solving techniques (5Y, 8D, Ishikawa etc.)
- Experienced user of Microsoft office, must be able to manipulate and analyse data within excel

**Project Quality Engineer**
**Desirable Skills / Experience / Qualifications**:

- Degree in Quality Management / Engineering discipline
- Understanding and experience of Configuration and Requirements Management
- Lead auditor / auditing qualification to at least ISO9001
- Knowledge of House of Quality / QFD and requirements elicitation techniques
