As a result of recent investment in the People function, we are looking for a talented, enthusiastic, person-centred HR professional to lead our People Services team. The team provides services to support workforce planning, people systems, recruitment, job evaluation, as well leading on HR Quality and Governance.

This role is essential to the quest to deliver a modern, fit for purpose, proactive HR function to support the transformation of the workforce in the way we recruit, retain, develop and support our staff.
The postholder will take a lead role in the QI/quality assurance of the whole HR function in addition to the governance and management of the HR function’s KPIs and key people metrics. In addition, they will ensure the effective implementation and compliance of workforce policies and standards including the identification and management of any people risks to the Trust.
The role sits within the Trust’s senior leadership team translating national, regional, and Trust strategies, plans and priorities into actionable initiatives with measurable impact enabling our ‘Great Care, Great People, Great Partner’ strategy and YAS Together culture.

The provision of high-quality HR advice and HR transactional services are managed in line with policy, process, legislation, and best practice to ensure that all employees experience a full values-based employment journey from entry to exit.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) NHS Trust geographically covers nearly 6,000 square miles of varied terrain, from isolated moors and dales to urban areas, coastline and inner cities.
