We’re looking for an experienced governance specialist to join our Lending Governance team to maintain customer policies that ensure Computershare Loan Services meet their lender and servicer responsibilities.

**A role you will love**
The Lending Governance team is responsible for customer facing policies, supporting regulatory change and ensuring our obligations as a prudent regulated mortgage lender are fulfilled. As well as providing wider support across several other functions.
Reporting to the Head of Lending Governance, this role will be responsible for drafting and maintaining customer policies from a lender, and sometimes servicer, perspective; ensuring they take account of regulation and applicable law, customer terms and conditions,industry best practice / guidance service definitions and other related policies. The consultant will also provide technical analysis and SME support in respect of the accountabilities to provide technical and administrative support to the Head of LendingGovernance upwards.
**Other Key Accountabilities**
- Ensure that existing lender and servicer policies are reviewed and updated annually to achieve required customer outcomes.
- Draft new lender policies, following the publication of new regulation.
- Provide SME support to other business areas in relation to lender policies / obligations.
- Review Tariffs annually to ensure fees are fair and appropriate.
- Monitor external sources to provide analysis and recommendations in regard to SVR setting and, support the internal process for implementing and communicating all rate changes.
- Provide technical analysis and SME support to projects - via attendance of working and steering groups, scoping workshops, RAIDD reviews and delivery of project milestones - that impact the responsibilities of Topaz as a regulated mortgage lender.
- Provide support to minor change requests, ensuring requests contain sufficient detail and adhere to policies and strategic initiatives.
- Support / conduct due diligence activities on any future acquisition of legal title portfolios or other lender business opportunities.
- Attend internal governance forums and provide policy / SME input to assist performance analysis and decision making.
- Liaise with Legal to support the end-to-end process of responding to CMC’s.
- Support audit reviews, including questionnaires from ratings agencies / issuers.
- Give technical and administrative support to the Head of Lending Governance.
**Skills/Experience & Competencies**
We’re looking for someone with strong experience of working in a Financial Services &/ regulated environment, ideally with vulnerable customer expertise.
Ideally, you’ll hold a working understanding of relative mortgage activities, MCOB and other mortgage related regulation. Plus, some technical knowledge of writing policies, frameworks and strategies.
