**Principal Python Engineer (start up)**

An extremely successful machine learning based start-up is hiring a Principal python engineer to join their expanding London-based team. They are seeking a motivated and commercially experienced Principal Python Engineer who is looking for a challenge ina dynamic and supportive team atmosphere. They are very supportive of the hybrid way of work and are keeping up with all the latest technology trends and developments. This role will provide huge autonomy and an ability to work on exciting projects acrossthe business, alongside making a significant personal impact. The company have a fantastic culture, with regular social events and companywide trips.

**THE ROLE**:
As a Principal python engineer, you will have an expansive range of responsibilities, including:

- Design, development and upkeep of required software using Python
- Establishing and promoting the use of best practices in the software engineering life cycle
- Maintaining and developing on GCP
- Stakeholder communication
- Build infrastructure and take advantage of cutting-edge cloud technology
- Evolving the backend software and services
- An experimental approach to iterative feature development
- Working on Backend API's and building new features
- Mentoring Junior Engineers

**YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**:
The successful Principal python engineer will have:

- Significant commercial experience as a Python Backend Software Engineer
- In-depth experience of using Kubernetes & Docker
- Significant in-depth experience and knowledge of python and a variety of libraries
- Experience working on a variety of projects, solving complex problems in python
- Experience with building API's and Microservices
- Experience with GCP
- Strong understanding of Mathematics and concepts
- A team player mindset
- A strong educational background
- Strong communication skills

**THE BENEFITS**:
The salary range for this role is up to £130,000 as well as benefits, equity and is hybrid
