**Principal Engineer**
**Up to £111,000 + Bonus + Cash Signing Bonus + Great Benefits**
**London - Mostly Remote - 2 days per month in office**

An International financial institution is hiring a Principal Engineer to join & lead their expanding London-based team. This company is working at the cutting-edge of the industry. Their technology seeks to provide advanced solutions to complex problems.They are seeking a motivated and commercially experienced Principal Engineer, looking for fast progression inside a dynamic and supportive team atmosphere. This role is an especially important team within the business where you will make a massive personalimpact on the company as a whole.

**THE ROLE**:
As a Principal Engineer, you will have an expansive range of responsibilities, including:

- Design, development and upkeep of required software using Java
- Design, development and upkeep of essential microservices and API's
- Liasing with internal stakeholders
- Leading the team
- Servicing and supporting the wider business
- Mentoring junior software engineers, enhancing their development
- Leading the API & Microservices development across the entire organisation

**YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**:
A successful Principal Engineer for this role will have:

- At least 2 years' experience as a technical lead / team lead
- Significant commercial experience as a Java Backend Software Engineer
- Commercial experience working with APIs, spring boot & microservices
- Experience with architecture, leadership, troubleshooting and DevOps
- Experience with stakeholder involvement
- Effective communication with both technical and non-technical senior figures
- Experience with troubleshooting

**THE BENEFITS**:
The salary range for this role is up to £111,000 alongside a bonus, a signing bonus (cash), significant pension contributions, 30 days holiday, and the role is mostly remote
