NLYHS is looking for someone who wants to make a difference to homeless children and families they work with - to help engage children, young people, and their families more actively in their educational journey. Through a combination of individual work, family work and work with the wider school community of families and housing departments, we are looking for someone who can work flexibly, hopefully, and strategically with us to make a real difference to the future of homeless children throughout North Lanarkshire.
Regular supervision with Barnardo's Line Manager will take place as will regular planning and review sessions with the Head Teacher and Senior Management Team of the school and Housing staff to ensure that the work is directly connected to improving the educational experience and attainment of the homeless children and young people.
Applicants would require a relevant qualification in education, health, social work or social care and an understanding of children's development in relation to attachment theory would be desirable.
