After-school Cookery Club Class Leader, Term-time Only

If you love food and cooking and have experience working with children, this role could be perfect for you.
You'll be leading five after-school cookery clubs at local primary schools ranging from Lapworth Primary to the south, St Patrick's CE Primary in Earlswood to the west and Dorridge Primary to the east. The clubs run for approximately one hour after school, Monday to Friday, in term-time only. The total time needed for each class is about 2.5 hours including prep, set-up, clear-up and wash-up. We pay £40 per class.
The classes are never boring, constantly engaging and by turns fun, challenging, hilarious, messy and, ultimately, very rewarding.
No specific like-for-like experience is required but you will need to be comfortable working on your own with groups of 15 primary aged children (this is the standard class size).
You will need to be based within 20 minutes drive of Hockley Heath, the approximate centre of the area covered.

**Main responsibilities**
You will be responsible for leading classes after school on Monday to Friday afternoons in term-time. Start times for classes range from 3.15pm to 3.30pm, depending on the school. A little bit of prep of ingredients and equipment is usually required before leaving for the class and you will need to be at each school 15 minutes before the class starts in order to set up. After delivering the class, the area has to be cleaned up and left neat and tidy. Apart from that it’s just washing up the dirty dishes when you get home - you'll need to have a dishwasher.
Total time required for prep, running and clear-up of each class is approx 2.5 hours. We pay £40 per class.
**Main requirements**
A keen interest in food and cookery, an enthusiasm for communicating that interest and an aptitude for working with children are important but no specific experience is required.
We supply all equipment and ingredients but you need to provide your own transport - a full UK driving license and your own car are requirements for this role.
The work is carried out in schools so we will carry out an enhanced DBS check before you can start.
