**About the Role**

As Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Media and Television Production, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our Media and Television degrees, contributing to the delivery of our modules on pre
- and postproduction; Independent Television; Working in the Creative Industries; and Branded Content and other areas of our core curriculum, including the final year Dissertation, depending on your areas of expertise and experience. Experience in professional television production and an understanding of sustainable production practices would be a distinct advantage. We particularly welcome experience in production design/art direction.

You will be expected to contribute to the research profile of the department through the activities of one of our Research Units, and to meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for teaching and researching Media and Television, and who would like to contribute to the development of these new degrees. An interest in Television and Film Production, Branded Content and strategies for preparing students to work in the creative industries would be an advantage.

**About You**

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional colleague who will provide significant contribution to our Television and Media degrees. You will have significant responsibility for developing and delivering the new programmes and will be able to teach across a range of modules and areas on both undergraduate programmes. You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. An established or promising research profile in media, television and / or cognate disciplines and good teaching experience on undergraduate Media and / or Television degrees is essential.
